Chocolate Chip

Used to buy regularly due to egg and dairy allergy in my daughters diet. Double checked ingredients today before packing and noticed it now contains milk. Pretty bummed because she loved these and now can’t eat them.

I started buying this because I am allergic to dairy. I understand that you have the right to change your recipe, and I can buy something else. But at least put a warning in the front that it is not dairy-free anymore. Something in red! You are maybe junkless, but you are not against killing people, apparently.......

The original bats were one of the only snacks I could eat bc of my very limited diet. Now with this change I can no longer purchase these bars. I’m sad that they couldn’t have kept a couple of the old flavors.

I’m incredibly disappointed and honestly pretty upset by this ingredient change. Junkless granola bars were a staple in our dairy-free household because they were one of the very few options my 14yr old daughter and I could safely eat. With life long food allergies in our home, that also include egg and peanut/tree nut allergies, we have struggled to find snacks that are allergy-friendly, simple, and not filled with unnecessary ingredients is already exhausting and stressful.

I had no idea the basic chocolate chip bars now included a drizzle containing dairy, and unfortunately my daughter and I both paid the price for that lack of transparency. We’ve both been flaring and feeling awful after eating a product we trusted for years. It’s heartbreaking when a “safe” food suddenly isn’t safe anymore. I was aware of the drizzle on other products but did not realize through cleaver, slick packaging that it was not on the basic bars.

What makes this even harder is that the original bars were already delicious. Adding dairy drizzle may have seemed like a small change to improve taste or appearance, but for families dealing with food allergies, it completely changes whether the product is accessible at all. In one change, you removed one of the only snack staples our family could rely on.

It’s deeply frustrating to see another company move away from allergy-friendly options without making the change more obvious to longtime customers. Families like ours already spend so much time reading labels, researching ingredients, and trying to keep our kids safe. This just made that job even harder.

Really sad to lose a product we trusted and loved.

I've been buying these for my dairy-free kiddo and me (gluten free) for about a year. I bought a new pack last week and was shocked when I opened one up and it was half the size they used to be. Also - I was unaware of the new addition of milk to the bars and continued purchasing these for my kiddo. I am tremendously disappointed - mainly by the change in ingredients without making it obvious they contain an allergen now - but also in the significant reduction in size for the same price. I think we will be making some granola bars at home for a fraction of the cost so we can control the ingredients better.
