Ernie is a food lover and gourmet cook and can often be found in the kitchen, whipping up five-course meals for friends. When he’s not wielding a spatula, he can be found at the local hockey rink, pretending he’s still in his twenties. The idea for JUNKLESS® came over ten years ago during a shopping trip with his son. Ten at the time, Ernie’s son Michael pointed to the long list of strange-sounding things called ingredients on a frozen chicken dinner and asked, “Dad, what is this stuff?” Despite working in the food industry for years, Ernie was stumped. That innocent question set him off on a mission to make better snacks – snacks without the all the junk commonly found in today’s highly processed packaged foods.
